Steve Bannon attacks Fox News over Ukraine coverage

Steve Bannon, the mastermind behind Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, ripped into Fox News for being the “home of stupid TV or TV for stupid people.” However, Bannon also praised Fox News stars Jesse Watters and Tucker Carlson for questioning the official narrative on the war in Ukraine.

Both Watters and Carlson have remained objective in their coverage of the war in Ukraine and have called out Republicans who are beating the drums of war.

Bannon’s praise came after Watters said during his show that “Can we please get into a shooting war with Russia,” in mockery of the rabid demands from both Democrat and Republican politicians.

Bannon went on to compliment the duo of Carlson and Watters saying “They’ve got a power block now on Fox: Watters and Tucker back-to-back. It’s going to be very important. That’s a pivot point. That’s an intellectual center, right there, of gravity.”

It’s ironic that some of the most important conservative figures share a platform with other figures who are espousing incredibly dangerous ideas.

Many establishment Republicans have happily cheered on the idea of a war with Russia, despite the horrific consequences of such an action.

Getting into a conflict with Russia is absolutely unacceptable and must be avoided at all costs. Any Republicans who are willing to encourage a hot war that could go nuclear need to be called out and voted out of office.

Tucker Carlson and Jesse Watters are important voices in the fight for reason and peace. The influence those two wield will be critical when it comes to campaigning against the war hawks in the Republican Party that must be removed.
