Hollywood superstar Kevin Spacey facing four charges of sexual assault in the UK

Hollywood superstar Kevin Spacey is facing four charges of historic sexual assault against three men in the United Kingdom. Spacey is set to appear in court and will enter a plea to answer for the crimes that were alleged to have occurred as far back as 2005.

Rosemary Ainslie, head of the Crown Prosecution Service Special Crime Division, told the Daily Mirror that “The CPS has authorized criminal charges against Kevin Spacey, 62, for four counts of sexual assault against three men. He has also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.”

Spacey’s predatory behavior became known to the public in 2017 when he famously responded to shocking accusations by coming out as gay to distract from his crime.

Spacey issued a statement addressing the accusations saying, “I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I now choose to live life as a gay man. I want to deal with this honestly and openly, and that starts with me examining my own behavior.”

Spacey’s attempts to dismiss his criminal and predatory behavior understandably outraged millions, and it is long past time that Spacey answered for his actions in court.

Spacey has already had to fend off a civil lawsuit filed by actor Anthony Rapp who accused Spacey of assaulting him when he was a teenager in the 1980s.

Spacey has had other charges and accusations that have either failed or simply been dropped, and it is clear that there is a pattern of predatory sexual behavior by the two-time Academy Award winner.

Hopefully, these charges will actually stick, and Spacey will finally face justice for his crimes.
