Elon Musk: ‘I’m not perverted enough’ to go on CNN

Elon Musk isn’t “perverted enough” to go on CNN, the billionaire entrepreneur said in an interview this week.

During a podcast interview with the satirical site The Babylon Bee that was posted Wednesday, the conversation turned to “pointless” companies that “should probably be disbanded,” Fox News reported. At one point, one of the co-hosts made a joke about not having the right qualifications to interview Musk.

“I’m not the one who asked for the podcast. You guys did, just to be clear,” the businessman replied.

“You can be on CNN right now, a real news organization,” co-host Kyle Mann then joked.

Musk referenced a recent Babylon Bee story that mocked CNN for its slew of recent scandals.

“I’m not perverted enough, I guess,” he said.

Two recent Babylon Bee headlines drive home the satirical point Musk was trying to make: “CNN HR Department Considers Adding ‘Are You A Creepy Pervert?’ To Employment Application,” and “CNN Quietly Resets ‘Days Since An Employee Committed A Sex Crime’ Counter Back To Zero.”

Earlier this month, the network fired senior producer John Griffin, who was arrested for alleged sex crimes with young girls, one of whom was just 9 years old, authorities said.

He allegedly tried to pay off the family member of his 9-year-old victim, court documents said, according to the New York Post.

CNN also recently fired anchor Chris Cuomo for the role he played in protecting his brother, former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who was facing a host of allegations of sexual misconduct.

In June, CNN brought back its chief legal analyst, Jeffrey Toobin, eight months after he landed in hot water for masturbating on-camera during a Zoom call with colleagues at The New Yorker magazine.

As for Musk, who Time magazine named its 2021 “Person of the Year,” CNN doesn’t appear to be a fan of his, either.

“In my opinion, you are the people of the year, not the electric car guy,” CNN anchor Jim Acosta recently told Capitol Police officers.
