BREAKING: Bernie Sanders Said Biden STABBED In The Back By Dem Senators Manchin And Sinema

In an appearance on CNN over the weekend, independent socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont said the quiet part out loud: Democrats think Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona are trying to “sabotage” President Joe Biden.

Sanders made the comments Sunday after the two senators refused to invoke the so-called “nuclear option,” which would allow the Democrats to pass their voting legislation without clearing the 60-vote filibuster hurdle, earlier this month.

Given the Democrats only hold a 50-50 split in the Senate, with Vice President Kamala Harris casting the tie breaking vote, Manchin and Sinema’s refusal to invoke the nuclear option effectively killed the legislation for now.

During his appearance on CNN Sunday, anchor Dana Bash asked Sanders about the two senators’ refusal to do away with the filibuster on both the voting bills and the “Build Back Better” spending package.

“We are one year into the Biden presidency,” she said, according to Breitbart.

“Those two key priorities are stalled in the Senate because Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema won’t get on board. How frustrated are you?”

Sanders not only blamed Manchin and Sinema for stabbing Biden in the back, but blamed Republicans, as well.

“It’s not only those two. It’s 50 Republicans who have been adamant, not only in pushing an anti-democratic agenda, but also opposing our efforts to try to lower the cost of prescription drugs, to expand Medicare to include dental, hearing and eyeglasses, to improve the disastrous situation in-home health care, in child care, to address the existential threat of climate change,” he said.

“You have 50 republicans who don’t want to do anything except criticize the president. You have, sadly enough, two Democrats who choose to work with the Republicans rather than the president and who have sabotaged the president’s efforts to address the needs of working families in this country.

“Is it frustrating? It sure is.”

“We’re making some progress, but clearly we have been stalled by the sabotage, if you like, by two Democrats who refuse to support what the president and 48 of us want to do.”

It’s interesting that Sanders thinks that Republicans ought to work with the Democrats to achieve their socialist agenda — but more telling that he thinks Manchin and Sinema owe the Democrats their votes.

Both Manchin and Sinema  come from states where establishment’s voting power-grab and the spending bill are deeply unpopular things — and they were elected to represent the residents of their states.

But not to Sanders, they weren’t. In spite of who elected them, their real loyalty ought to be to the Democratic Party and the president’s agenda.

The Vermont senator doesn’t seem to get how this whole democracy thing works, apparently. Sadly, plenty of legislators on the left side of the aisle don’t seem to, as well.
